I've been making some mistakes in my Japanese lately.

Host Mom: Kelley, do you have any plans this week?
Me: Yes, I have plans on watermelon.
Host Mom: ...watermelon?
Me: Sorry, I meant Wednesday.

Guy: So you live in a dorm? (in America)
Me: That's right.
Guy: How long does it take you to get to your parents' house?
Me: About two years.

I meant hours. Two hours.
